To find the current GALILEO password, use your mouse to hover over the "Find" heading at the top of the Library's home page (library.piedmont.edu). Select "Articles & more" from the menu and then click on "Passwords." When you've entered your EZproxy information (username = complete Piedmont email address; password = 9-digit student ID #), you will be given the GALILEO password.
GALILEO is Georgia's Online Virtual Library. Depending on where you are using GALILEO -- your school, your public library, your place of employment, etc. -- you will sometimes encounter a noticeably different set of resources. The licensing agreements that help make GALILEO or any other online research service available to library users are very specific to the participating institutions. In other words, UGA students have access to services beyond the basic offerings in GALILEO, and these are different from the resources available to Piedmont College students.
Piedmont College certainly does provide access to GALILEO, but we offer many more research resources beyond its scope. For efficiency's sake, we recommend beginning your search for scholarly articles by using the Library's website. Simply click on the Articles & More tab in the middle of the page and select your discipline from the "Subject" menu. You'll be presented with a comprehensive list of relevant resources, including everything you might find in GALILEO ... and much more besides.
